Help The Relief Efforts For Hurricane Efforts
October 31, 2012
For once, all the weather reports were correct when it came to Hurricane Sandy. Sadly, the majority of the east coast was hit very hard. I’m sure we all know someone or know someone who knows someone who was affected by what everyone is calling “Frankenstorm.” So the real question on everyone’s mind is and should be, “What can you do to help?” The answer is simple, you can donate to the Red Cross or the Salvation Army to provide funds to assist the relief efforts.
If you are unable to donate money, another way to help would be by donating blood. As you may have heard in the news, many blood donation centers were canceled right before the storm. Getting out there and donating blood or volunteering at a blood drive is extremely important right now. Also, if you are a local New York resident, you can volunteer with New York Cares by distributing water and food to those in need.
