Furniture Steals & Deals

Living in New York City, I am used to moving every one to two years. I have learned to shop for the most affordable pieces of furniture and décor because chances are they won’t fit in another apartment. Recently, I went to Texas for a work conference and found two great affordable furniture and décor stores! I am shocked I haven’t heard of these stores before, but I am now obsessed with both Z Gallerie and World Market! Here are a few examples of why I love these stores:

1. This bookshelf:

World Market: $360

Compared to a much more expensive bookshelf:

Restoration Hardware: $1200

2. This lamp:

World Market: $50

Usually West Elm has pretty good prices but:

West Elm: $170

3. This table:

Z Gallerie: $899

Compared to Restoration Hardware’s table…

Restoration Hardware: $1800

Pretty awesome, right? Visit their websites now and get some great deals. You’re welcome.

I love these pieces! One day, when I’m not living with my parents and have my own place, I will come back to this article for inspiration!

I recently discovered World Market when visiting my parents in Florida. Such great pieces and very affordable prices.

Another favorite of mine is Home Goods. I look through Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn catalogues for inspiriation and then search for something similar at 1/8 of the price at Home Goods. They also have great lighting and a few really cool pieces of furniture at a time. Their merchandise changes daily, so you never know what you might find!
