Babe on a Budget: Bright Blazers

During the summer, it’s a challenge to have to go into work everyday when it’s sunny and beautiful out. It’s especially hard if you work in an office and can’t show off your bronzed legs and sun-kissed skin. The desire to be half-naked is very tempting, but unfortunately, you have to be clothed to go into work. As a result, it’s easy to get into a summer-wardrobe-slump because certain pieces in your closet might be deemed inappropriate for the job, even though they work with the hottest months of the year. That’s why I love blazers–they have the ability to bring an outfit together, dress it up a little bit while adding a little bit of office formality at the same time.

Although blazers can be stiff and boring, they don’t always have to be! During the summer season, blazers that come out in stores all over, vary in arm-length and have a little bit of flair to them! Just like colorful jeans, blazers are coming out in all sorts of colors to match the array of hues that you see throughout June, July and August.

What’s great about them, is that they immediately spice up your work clothes, but they’re perfect to wear when you’re out for dinner with friends or even as a light jacket on cooler summer nights. They are super versatile and will give you that extra bit of sass that you need to get you throughout the day.

For this trend, I’d like to highlight H&M. H&M has always been incredibly trendy, catering to both genders from their teen years in high school to fashionable professionals in their 20s. You can walk into any H&M and find awesome prices, great fashion and a little bit of everything, ranging from casual dresses to classy suits. Currently they have an array of fun and funky blazers! The cheapest option of all four blazers is this electric blue blazer that can be bought for a measly $19.95! What a great steal. I am set on getting this piece and wearing with a simple black dress, because this bright blue piece says everything people need to know about you: that you’re bold, funky and not afraid to be loud.
