50 Shades of Grey: Who Should Play Jose Rodriguez?

Now that we all know who the top contenders are for Anastasia Steele & Christian Grey, what about the other supporting characters? It’s time for us to take a vote on who should play photographer Jose Rodriguez, Anastasia’s good friend in the book Fifty Shades of Grey. Though we all know that Jose wants more than a friendship with Anastasia, she only sees him as a good friend. In my opinion that is just a shame, because E L James describes Jose as a hot, tall and sexy Latino stating, “He’s all shoulders and muscles, tanned skin, dark hair and burning dark eyes.” Here is our list of who we think would be perfect to play Jose:

Michael Trevino - stars in the CW’s hit show, Vampire Diaries as the mayor’s son Tyler Lockwood. He also had guest roles in top shows like The Mentalist and CSI: NY.

Tyler Blackburn - is best known for his role as bad boy Cable Rivers on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars.

Diego Boneta - recently starred in Rock of Ages as Drew Boley. He also has had parts in the hottest teenage soaps like Pretty Little Liars and 90210, and original movie Mean Girls 2.

Jesse Metcalfe - Jesse most recently reignited his acting career in TNT’s remake of Dallas as Christopher Ewing. I am sure you all remember him from the movie John Tucker Must Die and as Eva Longoria’s younger love interest on Desperate Housewives. Although he is a little older than what some may have pictured Jose to be, he is just too sexy to not be on the list!

Tyler Posey - currently stars in MTV’s Teen Wolf as werewolf, Scott McCall.

Ryan Guzman - this up and comer just starred in Step Up Revolution, which means he is a looker and a hot dancer. Winning combination!

Other potential contenders include Crazy Beautiful’s Jay Hernandez, Twilight’s Taylor Lautner, and Glee’s Mark Salling. Looks like everyone is throwing their name in the ring to be a part of this movie. Make sure to vote for your favorite below

I love Jesse Metcalfe. In fact I originally watched him on the soap opera Passions! However, I think that Tyler Blackburn has the perfect artsy look for the role of Jose, and he fits E.L. James’ description!

I think Ryan Guzman would be the closest of all these men. I love Jesse Metcalfe, but he would be a better option for Christian Grey (Henry Cavill is my 1st but Jesse is my 2nd) Jesse is to good looking for Jose & I think Jose should be good looking, but not AS good looking as Christian or better. If they chose Ryan Gosling as CG & Jesse as Jose, you would wonder what Ana was thinking not choosing Jose. Jose cannot be better looking than CG but good looking to some degree. I prefer Blair Redford or Steven Strait as least they are good looking in a different way but you can still see Christian being jealous of them.

I would like to say that Jay Hernandez or Mark Salling would be perfect for the role. The other ones not because they have a latin lastname it means that they are perfect for the role.
